Well, back then a popular band was B52 and so a famous drink. Imagine that! ): The drink had many variations to its mix; it was usually layered by hand in a shot or sherry glass. It had a rich sweet side to its taste. There were many people who loved it and it was an extremely popular bar shot.
Another hit was called 'Cosmo' which was popular with the ladies - probably on account that it was frequently mentioned in the hit TV series 'Sex And The City'.
